There is so much that has enriched my life, in spite of the Liberian civil crisis.
As a child, I should have been watching television; I should have been in school learning biology to understand how cells developed and how they die, sociology to know how social factors alter our behaviors or psychology to understand how war affected perceptions but the war taught me the opposite of what I wanted to learn. I believe in one thing...that everyone should be a blessing in the lives of those they touch and share their God given talents with those around them; and this is what inspires me most. I see this exemplified in the work of the TakingITGlobal team who have continuously motivated me to challenge myself by helping to make a difference in various issues around the world; and because of this I know that I can be blessings to others, which makes me very happy. Some people think that inspiration only comes from celebrities, great leaders that are world-renowned and those who, well, have a name for themselves. But it is the "common" people, the everyday person, who inspires me the most. To see what people give up and pursue to follow their dream is just extraordinary. ( read more)
